Food & Wine tour: Brescia, Colli dei Longobardi, Lake Iseo and Franciacorta, Valle Camonica

Programme:
Day 1 (Brescia / Longobard Hills / Lake Iseo)
Arrival in the morning in Brescia, visit to the Castle and free tour in the historic center (you can download the free PF900 APP and discover the city through the symbolic places of last century’s Brescia, or take the classic tour including the 3 main squares and the archaeological area with the Capitolium). Lunch served at one of the typical inns of the city. After lunch free transfer to the hills around Brescia, visit and toast at one of the wineries associated with the Colli dei Longobardi Strada del Vino e dei Sapori association. After the visit, move on to Lovere (Bergamo), in the North of Lake Iseo and Hostel accommodation in double rooms with panoramic views over the port of one of the most beautiful villages in Italy. Free dinner in Lovere and overnight stay.
Day 2 (Lake Iseo / Franciacorta)
After breakfast, free transfer to Sulzano and embarkment on a private boat for the Lake Iseo tour with circumnavigation of the three islands: San Paolo, Loreto and Montisola. End of tour in the lovely fishing village of Peschiera Maraglio. Here you can explore on foot some villages of the largest lake island in Europe or rent a bicycle and take the circular route of the island (about 12km). Light lunch in Montisola with tasting of local cold cuts and cheese, a tasting of typical dried fish and the tasty “migole”, pork meat accompanied by polenta or vegetables. Afterlunch
return to Sulzano and free transfer to Sale Marasino where you can visit one of the Oil Mills that produce excellent extra virgin olive oil. In about half anhour you can then reach the famous Franciacortawine area, rich in vineyards and rolling hills, where you can visit one of the wineries producing the famous brut sparkling wine and taste a couple of different types of wine. Dinner at a restaurant Lake Iseo and overnight in a Hostel in Lovere.
Day 3 (Valle Camonica)
After breakfast, free transfer to Capo di Ponte (Brescia) and visit the National Park of the Rock Engravings of Naquane (first Italian UNESCO site), a walk through the woods leads to the huge rocks, smoothed by ice and water, on which are engraved scenes of daily life, hunting scenes and more mysterious and fascinating symbols, left over the centuries, starting from prehistory, by the local populations, the Camuni. For the visit we advise you to book a local guide who will be able to highlight the most significant engravings, accompanying the explanation with the story of stories and legends that have always hovered in this mysterious valley.
At the end of the visit lunch in the Farmhouse with menu based on typical dishes of the area.
